This got the old stomach a-churnin' today- but it looks like the Governor is targeting employees that were hired to cover positions left vacant due to the early retirement program the state instituted.
Either way, it's beyond the pale unless Branstad leads by example! When he cuts his own salary, I'll by that he's seriously about leadership.
But I'll believe he'll cut his own salary when pigs fly.
Bet he isn't even in office a year before he gives himself a fat bonus check or huge raise.
