...then Algeria? BBC has it that several people were injured in a pro-democracy protest in Algiers today. Now isn't that interesting? It's too soon to tell, but certainly the spontaenous nature of what happened in Tunisia and the fact that it was driven from the ground up by the people themselves and not imposed and played with from the outside (that we know of) has got to have a lot of Middle Eastern Leaders very, very nervous right now. If a 'President-For-Life' who had ruled essentially unopposed for nearly a quarter of a century can be taken down in little more than a month, then who knows what could happen?
I wouldn't start taking too many bets on this spreading like wildfire just yet though. But there will be ripple effects that could have interesting implications certainly in Algeria, especially if they're on the march and definately in Egypt, which I believe is heading towards Presidential elections sometime soon.
