...and now Yemen? This might just be getting interesting. I'm not saying there's going to be a Cold War, 1989 style popular uprising across the region, but Strongmen and Presidents-For-Life have got to be looking over their shoulders a bit nervously at this point. Tunisia sets an interesting precedent throughout the region because, at least for now, it doesn't appear that it was a religiously-inspired uprising like Iran in 1979 but more a popular explosion of anger against a leader that had failed to deliver on anything at all. Suddenly, it might just be that guiding their respective nation with a stronghand might not be enough. Jobs and economic prosperity might have to be delivered as well...
Or it could be that these are just copy-cat spurts of anger that will peter out after awhile. Either way, it has the potential to be damned interesting.
