Al and Tipper Gore...

...are separating. For some reason, this makes me kind of sad. There were worse politicians out there than Gore and although his environmentalism is a bit scattershot, in my book he seems like a genuinely decent human being. People are saying it was a mutual decision, no affair or scandal or anything like that- just going their separate ways.
